Dr. Gayane Asatryan, a distinguished postdoctoral researcher, currently lends her expertise to the Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin, where she was awarded a “Make Our Planet Great Again GRI” laureateship in 2018. Having previously spent nine fruitful years as a researcher at the National Academy of Science of Armenia, Dr. Asatryan has amassed an impressive academic background that includes being a Ph.D. student at the University of Pierre and Marie Curie Paris VI, with a scholarship from the French government and AGBU France.
Prior to her current post, Dr. Asatryan was a postdoctoral researcher at both the University of Lausanne and the University of Queensland, before eventually relocating to Germany. She assists the Executive Board in various capacities, such as funding, proposal writing, editing, and organizing workshops, seminars, and educational programs.
Dr. Asatryan’s academic qualifications include a double Ph.D. degree in Geoscience and natural resources, awarded by the University of Pierre and Marie Curie Paris VI and the Geological Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.
